GUM ARABIC

WHAT IS
GUM ARABIC?

Gum Arabic also known as Gum Acacia is exuded from Acacia trees (mainly from Acacia Senegal “Hashab Gum” and Acacia Seyal “Talha Gum”).

The ruby-like sap is the lifeblood of the Acacia Tree and comes with many natural benefits. It is a robust, natural surfactant used to combine ingredients in many foods and medicines and slows down absorption and digestion.

WHERE DOES
GUM COME FROM?

The main gum-producing countries are Sudan, Nigeria, Chad and Senegal. Sudan is the world’s largest producer of Gum Arabic.
